Congregational Care Ministry Team

Mission Statement:  To nurture and encourage the family of Bethesda to grow spiritually; and, to continually seek a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.

Adopt-A-College Student - Students are contacted each month with a card and they receive a care package full of goodies in both the spring and the fall.

Military Service Ministry - Active military service men and women will be adopted by Sunday School classes and Women’s circles and contacted through cards and small care packages.

G.L.A.D. (Giving Love and Dignity) for Shut-ins and Nursing Home residents - Shut-ins and nursing home residents are adopted by Sunday School classes and Women’s circles and remembered with cards, small gifts, and visits.  We honor one shut-in or nursing home resident each month with a write-up in the At-The-Well newsletter and their picture is on display in the main hallway.

Shut-in and Nursing Home Visitation - We have many church members who visit shut-ins and nursing home residents on a regular basis.  We also have a greeting card ministry and telephone prayer partners for shut-ins and nursing home residents.  Many church members also visit those church members who are hospitalized.  The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office will check on shut-ins daily.  You can contact the sheriff’s office directly if you need a name added to their list.

Tape Ministry - Weekly Sunday morning services are available on tape to checkout and return.  These may be taken to shut-ins or nursing home residents.  You may checkout a tape to listen to a service you may have missed.  Tapes of Sunday morning services and some special events are also available for purchase.

Transportation - If you need a ride to a church event, we have volunteers willing to come to your home and take you to these events.

Medical Equipment - We have various medical equipment available to loan out to anyone who has a need for this equipment.  A list of this equipment is posted on the church bulletin board.

Bethesda Daily E-mail - Our e-mail ministry is a strong communication method to send daily e‑mails with prayer requests, church reminders, and inspirational stories.  We can send emergency prayer requests and reach many members in a short amount of time to start prayer chains.
